The first ever festival dedicated to fitness received an overwhelming response with a turnout of thousands of people in Ambience Island, Gurgaon on 30th April 2016. Indian Fitness Festival, a proprietary of Time Of Sports, organised activities such as Live Pro-Boxing matches in association with North India Boxing Association (NIBA). The event witnessed professional boxing for women for the first time in India wherein Kirti Kumar won and Anita Maurya was the runner’s up. In the Super bantam category boxing match, Honey Singh was declared the winner whereas in the heavy-weight category, Vikas Hooda was the winner.
This festival was designed and created to empower the fitness requirements for people from all walks of life. To mix fitness with fun, a first ever fitness concert by DJ Tatva K, later in the evening, saw the crowd grooving to the pulsating music. Many sports personalities such as Mr. Mehtab Singh (Arjun Awardee; Indian Boxing Selection Committee), Mr. Kuldeep Vats (Delhi Olympic Association President; Joint Secretary Indian Olympics), Mr. Mahavir Singh (Dronacharya awardee), Mr. Manoj Kumar (Olympian , Arjun Awardee; CWG Champion), Mr. Dilbaag Singh (Undefeated 11 times National Champion; CWG Medalist) were also present at the event. Also present at the event, Mr. Rajkumar Sangwan, India’s first professional heavyweight boxer and currently the President of Indian Boxing & Sports Academy.
