Professional boxing in India have got a massive fillip as Royal Sports hosted an AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) boxing night on June 11th 2016 featuring eight boxers including former World Championship bronze-medallist Vikas Krishan, the middleweight World No. 6 in International Boxing Association rankings was square off against Kenya’s Nickson Abaka, a former World Milliary Games bronze-medallist who is now playing his trade in the APB. There was in total 4 bouts between 8 boxers. First game was started between Kuldeep Singh and Himanshu Jaishwal, Second Fight was between Vikas Krishan Yadav and Nikson Abaka, third fight was between Madan Lal v/s Sandeep Bagri and last but not the least fourth fight was held between Harjinder Singh vs Brijesh Yadav. Indian boxer Vikas Krishan Yadav hammered Nickson Abaka of Kenya in their AIBA Pro Boxing bout here on Saturday to take a a decisive step towards a professional career. The 24-year-old southpaw from Bhiwani dominated the six-round middleweight (75kg) contest, winning by a unanimous 3-0 decision, with a total score of 60 to 54. Saturday’s win also earned him eligibility to participate in the Olympic qualification tournament for professional boxers to be held in Rio.

I know Vikas, he is a brilliant boxer and this bout gives him a chance to be eligible for the Olympic qualifiers.
