Bhopal to witness it’s first ever Professional Boxing event

Royal Boxing Promotion and Professional Boxing Society Bhopal will announce that Bhopal is going to witness its first ever professional boxing night sanctioned by Professional Boxing India in collaboration with WBC-Asia, where top contenders from Russia and India will square off against each other on Tuesday, January 24th 2017 in T.T Nagar Stadium, Bhopal.

The fight will be announced by official press conference on Monday, January 23rd, 2017.

The fight is stacked with exciting undercard and will feature bouts ranging from Light flyweight to Cruiserweight.

The main event will feature Indian cruiserweight star Rahul Pasi, a national champion at 81 kg weight category who will take on the fearsome Oleg Misiura, who has a decorated Amateur background. Oleg is the Russian National Champion and Russian Army Champion. He is also the silver medalist of European Championship. With such decorated accolades, he could be too much for Pasi.

It was however the Russian who challenged the Indian Boxer to face him in the ring, so both fighters will take out their Frustration in the ring on 24th January to show who the best is.

The co-main event will feature Manish Uikey (debut), who will take on Radmir Abdurakhamnov(debut) in the Super welterweight category.

Manish is three times national medalist and he has also secured medal in the many international events. He is also India’s hope for Tokyo, 2020 Olympics. His opponent Radmir is Russian National champion as well as European champion. Both fighters have a lot of amateur experience and will showcase their skill on the judgment day.

The undercard is stacked and will showcase top Indian and Russian prospects who will give their everything in the ring to get a win in their record.

The undercard will feature (debut) Shankar Thapa who will take on Alexander Kotov in the super lightweight category.

Shankar is All India B.R.Ambedar champion and also Zonal champion. He is a soldier of Shashatra Seema Bal, he is well known for his mental and technical strength in the ring. He is most followed for his endurance and skills and he will have to give his everything when he takes on Kotov who is an experienced and seasonal Professional, he is much higher ranked fighter compared to Shankar who will fight him in his debut.Kotov can make Shankar’s life a living hell in the ring.

Another interesting fight in the undercard will feature Amit Mishra who will take on Russian undefeated prospect Dmitry Khasiev in the Lightweight category.

Amit is a boxer who is well known for his technical skills and destructive punches. He is an Engineer by day and a lethal Boxer by night. He is all India A.K Mishra champion and also a Zonal champion. He would have to give his 100% in the ring to win this fight. On the other hand his opponent Dmitry is an undefeated rising Russian prospect and is ranked Top 10 in Russia. His southpaw stance might prove effective for his Indian opponent. So Amit has to do a lot in the ring and has to show the heart of a champion if he wishes to beat the Russian.

The undercard will also feature a female Light Flyweight bout between India’s Purnima Rajput and Gayane Panyan of Russia.

The fight is scheduled to take place on 24th January in T.T Nagar stadium, Bhopal from 7:00 PM onwards.
